Field-Hopper-20-Molle-bottle-opener-lifestyle-web_2048pxI’ve got to be honest here. We’re pretty excited about this. Since our merger with Austin Kayak last January, we’re now an authorized YETI Cooler dealer. Boom.

Don’t know anything about YETI coolers? Well, let’s catch you up to speed. YETI hit the market in Texas, where it’s hot, like really hot. Founders Roy and Ryan Seiders were deeply invested into the outdoors as avid hunting and fishing enthusiasts and they needed something that would not only keep their fresh catch fresh, but something that would hold up to the task of surviving day in and day out in the outdoors. Anyone who’s lived vigorously in the outdoors knows that coolers just don’t make it. The handles break, the seals leak, the lids and sides crack off, and most of all, they only keep ice for two, maybe three days if you’re lucky and in the Texas wilderness, that’s just not going to cut it.

The Solution? Roy and Ryan went out and built the most bomb proof, highly insulated, kick ass coolers on the market. The outside is roto-molded plastic, which is the same plastic and construction process used to make whitewater kayaks, so they can take a beating. The inside has 3” of insulation designed to keep ice frozen for up to 8 days. They’ve also replaced the plastic handles with nylon rope handles designed to handle heavy weight loads for extended periods of time. Lastly, they’ve included secure locking points that, when combined with a master lock ensure that these coolers are literally bear proof. Seriously, check out the playlist of ridiculous tests:

Since mastering the hard cooler game, they’ve also expanded into soft coolers, coffee mugs, beer koozies, and of course, kick ass branded apparel that all meet the quality expectations that the founders put into designing their original coolers. We couldn’t be more excited to be working with them and can’t wait to run these coolers through the gambit.
